Print to Form identifies a use cycle with considerable paper waste – architecture studios. Identifying the potential for disrupting the waste produced in these environments, the project reclaims the material as waste paper pulp, and explores how natural adhesive systems can generate new recyclable forms. Experimentation with mixtures of water, dextrin, and methyl cellulose yielded a binder that limits mold risk while maximizing dimensional sturdiness in furniture applications. The adhesive remains water-soluble, allowing the material to return to its original pulp state after 15 minutes of soaking. The result is a fully circular product, highlighting the value of material transparency and sustainability as guiding principles in settings with superfluous waste streams.
