Shadows is a floor seat that invites a quiet return to nature amidst a dense urban landscape. Sculpted from reclaimed sawdust and wood glue, its monolithic form features smooth depressions that cradle the body, offering a grounded place to rest. The coarse, tactile surface recalls the feel of bark or earth, while the form itself is inspired by the shifting shadows of tree canopies: fluid, irregular, and ephemeral. Positioned low to the ground, the piece evokes the playful, intuitive experience of climbing and sitting on trees. By resisting conventional furniture norms and embracing reclaimed materials, the seat becomes both an invitation to pause and a critique of overconsumption. It is a sensory object rooted in reflection, material presence, and a deeper connection to natural forms.
