Cork, Kerala represents a literal weaving of anticolonial resistance. Callahan draws from Irish and Indian craft techniques, underscoring their shared history of colonial subjugation. Found and repurposed clothing were processed to create synergies between textures, colors, and techniques, culminating in a modern revolutionary uniform. The collection features rewoven sets of jackets and shorts fashioned from half inch strips of various textiles. The unexpected application of traditional craft in producing uniforms calls back to the precolonial textile histories of the two nations, and displays solidarity between them in their shared resistance.
